About Albuquerque

My favorite things to do in Albuquerque

EAT! There is a collection of some of the finest restaurants and cafes in the Southwest…Elaine’s, Café Lush, Artichoke Café, Maya, Zinc, Golden Crown, Panaderia, Cocina Azul, Church Street Café, La Crepe Michel and Slate Street Café

The Nob Hill Area – Stroll Historic Route 66 (Central Avenue) between Girard and Washington. Tons of great restaurants, bars/pubs, cool antique stores, and shops

The Sandia Peak Tramway – The peak receives approximately 120 inches of snow per year with Ski Sandia on the east side of the mountain. Hiking is available in all seasons

Historic Route 66 – Learn about the history of Route 66 and experience the rumble strip at 45 miles per hour and you will hear “America the Beautiful.” West of Albuquerque, just before the Tijeras Pass

Old Town ABQ – Visit San Felipe De Neri Church and wander the historical adobe structures of the traditional plaza layout of the Southwest that was decreed by the Spanish as early as 1609

Albuquerque Bio Park and Botanic Gardens – Beautiful plants in a beautiful setting

Albuquerque Balloon Museum - Check out the history of hot air balloons in Albuquerque

Albuquerque Museum of Art and History – Great art in a great space, plus you will learn some great history of Albuquerque
